Question What Operating systems are supported?
Answer Metal POS Supports Windows 10, 8, 7, and multiple Windows Server versions.
Question Do I need a separate computer for the POS Program?
Answer No. Metal POS will run fine in a multi-tasking environment and does not require a dedicated system. This allows small business owners to get the most from their equipment investments.
Question Are touch screens supported?
Answer Yes. Although supported, it is always a good idea to consider the environment in which you put a touchscreen. Harsh environments can cause additional equipment wear and maintenance.
Question Do I need to backup my information? If so, how often?
Answer Absolutely! Backups are essential to the continued operation of any business. Metal POS has functions which allow you to easily make a daily backup of your data onto a flash drive. Many services also exist to provide off-site backups to protect against incidents such as theft, fire, or flood.
Question Are customizations available for Metal POS?
Answer Yes. Most of our customers find that the standard features in Metal POS suit their business needs very well. When your business has a unique need, however, we do offer custom development services. Please Contact Us if you are considering a custom feature in Metal POS.

Question How much does Metal POS cost? What about support, maintenance, and upgrades?
Answer Please Contact Us for a quote. Metal POS is very affordable and, when necessary, financing options are available. We have a very economical annual support, training, and upgrade program. Per incident support rates are also available.
Question Does Metal POS handle credit card processing or do we still need to use our terminal?
Answer Yes! Metal POS is designed to process credit cards for our customers that prefer this option. As the requirements for the credit card industry are frequently changing, this is provided as a separately charged option.
